The concept was, externally to retain an Agricultural aesthetic whilst internally the original section of the building was to remain open plan but exposing the timber frame structure. The extension was designed in a contemporary style with a modern open plan office space including a feature spiral staircase up to first floor accommodation.
The final user was to be a high tech computer company who required a well controlled environment. The building was therefore fitted with underfloor heating to provide flexibility of interior layout and air conditioning for summer cooling. |
